Sixth Annual Fundraiser
FUNCTION in the JUNCTION
This year's proceeds will go to the Annette Street Public Library, a cornerstone of our community that offers a welcoming space for readers and an inclusive variety of programs as well as community gathering space. Basic expenses for the library are paid for by our property taxes, so funds from the Function will go towards important resources not covered by municipal funding.

WHAT: Tickets for the 6th annual Function in the Junction are now on sale.
WHERE: Get your tickets in person at Latitude 44 Gallery and Agora Cafe (both cash only), or online (e-transfer) at the Function website.
The event takes place at the West Toronto Masonic Temple, 151 Annette Street.
WHY: Organized by the Junction Residents Association (JRA), the Function is a lively annual evening to share local food, drinks and music and raise money for a worthy neighbourhood cause. This year's proceeds will go to the Annette Street Public Library, a cornerstone of our community that offers a welcoming space for readers and an inclusive variety of programs as well as community gathering space.
WHEN: Tickets are on sale now. The event takes place Sat., April 11 starting at 6 pm.
HOW: Help us plan a great evening: buy your tickets soon. Tickets are $45 each and include a delicious 6 pm sit-down dinner made by local restaurants and served by firefighters from the Junction's very own Station 423. Silent-auction items are donated by a host of fabulous neighbourhood businesses. We'll have a live auction with cool items, too. Our cash bar is supported by Junction Craft Brewing and Toronto Distillery Co. And of course we’ll have live music by Junction artists to keep us all going into the wee hours. Below are the four dinner menus generously provided by two Junction restaurants.
All dinners include appetizer, main course and dessert. Tea and coffee will be provided.

Avec Panache
Meal Choice 1 - Vegetarian
Appetizer (you get two!)
Selection of organic breads with herbed butter
Salad of organic mixed leaves with sunflower shoots, topped with grilled chevre served with a champagne dressing.
Main course
Eggplant Parmesan
Grilled peppers, eggplant and onion baked with a fresh tomato sauce, topped with shaved Parmesan and a white wine sauce. Accompaniments: Roasted rosemary potatoes, maple-bakes squash, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots.
Dessert
Chocolate Profiteroles
Choux pastry puffs filled with creme patisserie, folded into a chocolate liqueur cream sauce.
Avec Panache
Meal Choice 2 - Salmon
Appetizer (you get two!)
Selection of organic breads with herbed butter
Salad of organic mixed leaves and sunflower shoots, topped with a rosette of smoked salmon, garnished with fresh dill and capers served with a champagne dressing.
Main course
Grilled fresh Atlantic salmon served with a sauce of light butter, fresh dill, capers and Bermuda onion. Accompaniments: Roasted rosemary potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots.
Dessert
Chocolate Profiteroles
Choux pastry puffs filled with creme patisserie, folded into a chocolate liqueur cream sauce.

Onion Bhajia (gluten-free)
Chopped onions, green peppers, herbs and Indian spices mixed with chick pea flour. Served with green salad, mint and tamarind sauce.
Main course (you get two)
Aloo Gobi Masala (vegan)
Fresh cauliflower crowns and diamond-cut potatoes cooked on slow heat with onions, tomatoes, green and red peppers, ginger, garlic, herbs and Indian spices.
Channa Masala (vegan)
Chickpeas cooked with onions, tomatoes, ginger, garlic, herbs and spices

Meal Choice 2 - Chicken
Appetizer
