Moderator Matthew Blackett of Spacing Magazine spreads Blogging Toronto: a discussion panel which focus on the world of websites that are dedicated to covering the side variety of topics that affect Toronto, its neighbourhoods, and its people. The panelists will include Rannie Turingan of photojunkie.ca and torontoist.com; Time Shore, BlogTO mastermind; Antonia Zerbisias, Toronto Star blog journalist and Marc Weisblott, publisher of Paved.ca. They will discuss the positive and negative social implications of blogging, as well as the community and culture that these virtual gathering spaces help cultivate. A Q&A with audience members will follow.

From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the last Sunday in September, Vancouver, Calgary, Kitchener, Toronto and Halifax will unite Canada in a national celebration of literacy and the printed word.
