On April 9, 2011 the Junction Residents Association will be holding it’s annual fundraiser “Function in the Junction” at the West Toronto Masonic Temple located at 151 Annette Street in Toronto.

This year all monies raised will be used to establish a special fund for burn survivors who are in need of custom made pressure garments but do not have the financial means to acquire them.

These specialized garments are crucial in allowing the skin to recover. Even though there are agencies that help patients in financial need, not everyone is eligible. These are the people that the fund would help in their extreme time of need. With the help of Roberta Harris at the Recovery Garment Centre at 16 Heintzman St. we have set up a special needs funding protocol and portions of the funding will go to different patients on a case by case basis.

Tickets are available from our sponsors Agora Cafe (3015 Dundas St.W) and Latitude 44 (2900 Dundas St.W) at a cost of $40.00. This includes a 3 course meal (you choose from a menu provided by local restaurants when you purchase your ticket) that will be served from 6 pm - 8 pm.

Doors will be open to the public after 8 pm, no cover charge. There will be local live entertainment featuring the McDales. A silent auction will take place all evening and there will be a cash bar.

Tickets for last year's event sold out quickly and it looks like this year's event will as well!
