A message from the Junction Residents' Association:
With another year comes another Function in the Junction.
The Function in the Junction is the Junction Residents Association’s annual fundraiser. Over the last 3 years, junction residents and local businesses have raised over $20,000 for great local causes.
This year, the Junction Residents Association is supporting the work of the Monday Art Group of the Red Wagon Collective. The Monday Art Group was started in 2008 by the Red Wagon Collective. They provide arts projects and programs for the residents of the Salvation Army-Evangeline Residence, present and past, at 2808 Dundas St West.
Currently the Monday Art Group has no funds, and our goal is to support them for one year, providing funds to pay for art supplies (consumable and tools), TTC tokens for out-of-Junction participants and to help facilitate the publishing of their works. More information on
the Red Wagon Collective can be found on their website.
The 2013 Function in the Junction will be held on April 6, at the Masonic Temple, 151 Annette Street.

So it is really great for us that this year Function in the Junction is giving the proceeds of the event to the Red Wagon Collective. This will allow us to get the much needed materials we will need to keep the art group going for quite a while. With this funding we also hope to embark on new, strange and wonderful projects that we can share with the neighbourhood.
