Read an interesting article in the Villager published on March 05, 2009 by LISA RAINFORD:

Public square planned for the Junction
Community space lacking say residents

I'm very leary of this project. Look at the current Junction City Square. All of the garbage and signage from winter is still on the property including a giant sheet of plastic from the failed ice rink. When will Saundercook clean that up?

I think this Public Square will be an invitation for more vagrants and drug abuse especially with 11 Division Police moving in the next 2 years.

Lets clean up the riff-raff before we do this. How about eliminating the blatant drug places like Concourse restaurant, Bandulus Clothing and the Tattoo parlor on Dundas.

The first step is to clean up the community in my opinion.

Thank you for sharing your ideas and suggestions. Your comments are very important to this project.

I will pass them along to the Junction Residents' Association members.

BTW, the next JRA meeting is:
Thursday, March 12, 7pm at
West Toronto Baptist Church
3049 Dundas Street West
(South side of Dundas St. West, across from Mc Murray Ave.)

Please attend it's your/our Junction.
