About the Theatre
Teatralnaya Laboratoriya (The Theatre Lab) of Vadim Maksimov is the only theatre in Russia that works with using of Antonin Artaud’s system.

The theatre exists already 25 years. During this time Laboratoriya has produced more than 20 performances based on world classics as well as on modern European drama.

Director and founder of Laboratoriya is Professor of St. Petersburg State Theatre Arts Academy Vadim Maksimov, expert in French theater.

The main principle of Laboratoriya’s performances is a rhythmic and psychoenergetic act of organization, an integration of voice, gesture and word into a unified impulse, which has a profound affect on the audience’s perceptions.
