Wise Daughters Craft Market Workshop Sunday, October 4, 2009: Cartooning for People Who Don’t Think They Can Draw

Flyer: Wise Daughters Craft Market Workshop:
Cartooning for people who don’t think they can draw
Sunday, October 4, 2009 @ 1:00 - 4:00 PM
Workshop Leader: Cathy Thorne of Everyday People cartoons

Join Cathy Thorne for an afternoon of fun doodling, as she guides you through the very same process she uses to create Everyday People cartoons, which have been featured in publications such as The Toronto Star, Johnson & Johnson’s babycenter.com, and More Magazine. Visit www.everydaypeoplecartoons.com.

During the workshop
You’ll be led through a simple step-by-step process by which you’ll create a unique black & white ink cartoon, either based on your family portrait or an idea you have. Not to worry if you don’t have a prepared idea, there will be opportunity to come up with something during the workshop.

After the workshop
You’ll receive by e-mail:
  1. A high resolution digital colour copy of your cartoon, which you can take to the printers (like cafepress.com or your local print shop) to make greeting cards, t-shirts, mugs, whatever suits your fancy.
  2. A low resolution digital colour copy of your cartoon, which you can upload onto your blog, e-mail to friends and family, use as your desktop picture, etc ...
  3. A colour Twitter Avitar based on your cartoon.
  4. A colour Facebook Avitar based on your cartoon.
