New this year, 1wave provides unlimited free Wi-Fi access to Twitter and
TwitPic for the
2009 JUNCTION ARTS FESTIVAL!
For the first time, 1wave set up four "1wave Power Zones" (located strategically throughout the festival footprint along Dundas Street West), which allow free real time access to Twitter and TwitPic via Wi-Fi.
Attendees of the 2009 Junction Arts Festival (September 9 to 13) can immediately share their live festival experiences with the Internet community and send photos and tweets to friends and family.
Access is via any Wi-Fi enabled device by simply connecting to the following SSID:
1wave_JunctionFest_Free_Twit
Once connected, users who open their web browsers will be directed to a splash page where they access the Junction Arts Festival website, Twitter and TwitPic.

- The Beauties, Jason Collett and Justin Rutledge - Saturday, Sept. 12, 7:00 p.m.
[ ♪ ] Street closure on the weekend only, Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 12 and 13:
- Street performance artists - dance, travelling minstrels and comedy.
- Literary artists - BookThug authors, writers and poets do recitals and readings.
- KidZone - Fun zone filled with creative workshops, games and rides.
- Green Village - Learn that it's easy being green.
- Juried Art Exhibit - Academy of Realist Art (2968 Dundas W. & Pacific Ave.).
- Street artisan/vendor market.
- Beer tent - Junction City Square at Dundas West & Pacific (main stage area).

The Junction Forum for Art and Culture (JFAC) is a non-profit arts presenting organization and its main project is the annual Junction Arts Festival. The JFAC Board of Directors, chaired by Councillor Bill Saundercook, consists of dedicated cultural producers, artists, residents, business owners and politicians, all of whom are based in the Junction.
