THE 2009 JUNCTION ARTS FESTIVAL!

[ ♪ ] Runs for five days; from opening night celebrations on Wednesday, September 9 (09/09/09) to closing day on Sunday, September 13, along Dundas Street West, from Keele Street to Quebec Avenue

[ ♪ ] Weaving Mosaics is the 2009 festival theme - all ages experience an adventure of visual, dance, literary, musical arts and more

[ ♪ ] Three nights of free concerts on the Main Stage:

• Spider Jones and Paul James - Thursday, Sept. 10, 7:00 p.m.
• The Framework and Mr. Something Something - Friday, Sept. 11, 8:00 p.m.
• The Beauties, Jason Collett and Justin Rutledge - Saturday, Sept. 12, 7:00 p.m.

[ ♪ ] Red Hot Art Spots - Junction galleries, shops, businesses and restaurants open their venues to feature festival visual, musical, and performance artists

[ ♪ ] Weekend Street closure on Saturday and Sunday only, Sept. 12 and 13:

• Street performance artists - dance, travelling minstrels and comedy
• Literary artists - BookThug authors, writers and poets do recitals and readings
• KidZone - Fun zone filled with creative workshops, games and rides
• Green Village - Learn that it's easy being green
• Street vendor market - Artisan booths and yummy food vendors
• Beer tent - Junction City Square at Dundas West & Pacific (main stage area)

The 17th annual Junction Arts Festival is generously supported by title sponsor the Junction Business Improvement Area, the Toronto Arts Council, the Department of Canadian Heritage and the active involvement from Junction area businesses and residents.

The Junction Forum for Art and Culture (JFAC) is a non-profit arts presenting organization and its main project is the annual Junction Arts Festival. The JFAC Board of Directors, chaired by Councillor Bill Saundercook, consists of dedicated cultural producers, artists, residents, business owners and politicians, all of whom are based in the Junction.
