Veronika Dolina is one of the most well-known and revered “singing poets” in Russia today. Her distinctly feminine, airy lyrics possess a magical mix of mystery and reality akin to Bulgakov’s prose. Her tender and poignant voice accompanied by a guitar is familiar and dear to thousands of her admirers. She is the author of 10 books of poetry and dozens of music albums. Her regular concert tours in USA, Canada, Israel, and Europe are universally acclaimed.
The Center for Russia, East Europe, and Central Asia is a U. S. Department of Education Title VI National Resource Center. Established in 1993 on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus, CREECA consists of over 100 members who are nationally and internationally recognized experts in their fields.
