The Nuit Blanche contemporary art thing has smoothly passed in a day when the Queen's Park Circle was transformed into The Word on the Street multidimensional celebration of the written culture. It will be The Gypsy Flame Band performance there. Enjoy.

The Gypsy (ROMA) Flame Show Band
A Vibrant Collection of Russian, Hungarian, Romanian and Klezmer Folk Music
With a repertoire that includes fiery gypsy (ROMA) songs, lyrical romances, instrumental music and Russian gypsy (ROMA) dances, The Gypsy (ROMA) Flame Show Band produces a high-energy show. Their performances are complete with traditional Roma costuming, highlighting Roma folk music and music from eastern European countries such as Russia, Hungary and Romania.
Band members include: Lesya Alexander, a violinist who graduated from the Tchaikovsky State Music Academy in Kiev, is a qualified orchestra soloist and also teaches for chamber music; Yan Loren, a singer/guitarist, is engaging as a house-band musician all over the city; Flori Tigau, Roma singer, performs in five languages; and Paul Mathew, leader/keyboardist/accordionist, studied classical music at the Royal Conservatory of Music.
