All free, all night, all over Toronto - the second Nuit Blanche Saturday night (September 29, 2007 - September 30, 2007) with over 190 exhibitions of contemporary art.

Steam up and relax to Russian art videos, shorts, animation + Music + Refreshments = Cool Russian Culture throughout this end-of-summer night. Bring swimsuit, towel and sandals to enjoy the Steam Banya (Sauna) tents stationed on the patio. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

As a KAF pre event Art into Life will be at Nuit Blanche 2007 with "Steam UP in the Steam Banya": Banya (a Russian steam bath) Tents on the patio, showcasing contemporary Russian art films and a local DJ as part of the program. Something extraordinary to explore at Nuit Blanche.

Scotiabank Nuit Blanche is right around the corner, so it's time to get ready for a fun-filled night on September 29! Here are some updates to help you make the most of your night:


GETTING AROUND
To make getting around easy, the TTC Scotiabank Nuit Blanche Shuttle will run from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. providing transportation between all three zones. The Subway will be open all night on selected routes (bottom 'U' of University/Spadina line, Yonge/ University from St. George to Eglinton, Bloor/Danforth from Christie to Broadview). TTC Day passes for September 29 will be accepted until 9 a.m. on Sunday, September 30.


txtART ARTIST TALK
You can listen to messages from Exhibition artists by texting an artist's SMS keyword to TXTART (898278), then entering their extension number. Look for keywords printed on signage at each location, or find them online.

UPDATE: You can hear all ARTIST TALK audio files on the site, download the ones you're interested in, or download them all so you can put them on your mp3 player as you roam around on September 29.


txtART INTERACTIVE SCREENS
Tell everyone about your favourite projects while at the event. Text your comments to TXTART (898278) and watch them appear on the interactive screens located near the Scotiabank Hubs.

Vote for your favourite Scotiabank Nuit Blanche project in each zone for a chance to WIN* movies for a year from Cineplex Entertainment.

Vote by texting your favourite project's keyword to SCOTIA (726842). Keywords can be found printed on the signs at each project location. Or complete a ballot at the Scotiabank Hub/ Information Tents found in each zone.

SCOTIABANK HUBS
To help you survive an all-night adventure of this scale, Scotiabank Hubs will be centrally located in each of three zones. At these unique destinations, you'll find all-night entertainment, an information tent, portable washrooms, first aid, friendly volunteers and docents to illuminate your way from exhibit to exhibit. Merchandise will also be available for purchase, and ArtHeart, the Regent Park arts program for children, youth and adults, will benefit from proceeds of merchandise sold in each Hub and through text voting for People's Choice.


LATE NIGHT SNACKS
You'll find a selection of restaurants and bars offering late-night refreshments within the three Zones. Visit the event website for handy lists that you can print off to take with you. Call ahead to confirm hours and menus.


txtART PHOTO CONTEST
After sleeping off your Scotiabank Nuit Blanche all-nighter, upload your photos from the event to your txtART Photo Gallery. Register at txtart.ca to create your Photo Gallery now. The winning Photo Gallery will be awarded a $100 gift certificate from the Toronto Eaton Centre. The contest ends on October 8, so send 'em early to make it count. Don't forget to pack your camera before you head out to the event!
